Chas Crofoot — Owner & Founder
Chas Crofoot has been at the helm of Beach House Patio Furniture since founding the company in 1979. What started as a small family furniture manufacturing operation has grown into one of Jupiter’s most trusted sources for quality outdoor furniture.
With over four decades of hands-on experience in outdoor furniture design and manufacturing, Chas brings deep expertise in material selection, construction techniques, and what it takes to build furniture that truly withstands Florida’s demanding climate — the salt air, intense UV, humidity, and afternoon storms that destroy lesser products.
“We’ve always believed in building furniture you can pass down, not throw away. When you manufacture your own product, you control the quality at every step — from the raw materials to the final stitch on every cushion.” — Chas Crofoot
From a small family workshop to Jupiter’s premier outdoor furniture destination — here’s how we got here.
1979 — The Beginning
The Crofoot family launches a small outdoor furniture manufacturing operation in the Southeast, driven by a simple idea: build patio furniture that actually lasts in coastal weather, and sell it at factory-direct prices.
1980s — Growing the Craft
The business expands its product line from PVC pipe furniture into wicker and aluminum styles. Word spreads through the Southeast as customers discover furniture that doesn’t fall apart after one Florida summer.
1990s — Material Innovation
Beach House adopts cast aluminum construction and begins offering over 500 Sunbrella fabric options. The company becomes known for customization — every piece built to the customer’s exact specifications.
2000s — The Jupiter Showroom
Beach House Patio Furniture establishes its permanent showroom at 105 Center Street in Jupiter, FL — bringing factory-direct pricing and hands-on service to the Palm Beach County market.
2010s — Poly Lumber & Sustainability
The company introduces eco-friendly poly lumber furniture made from recycled materials, adding another weather-proof option for environmentally conscious customers.
2020s — Five Material Families
Today, Beach House Patio Furniture offers five distinct material categories — Wicker, Cast Aluminum, Aluminum, Poly Lumber, and PVC Pipe — each manufactured to withstand Florida’s salt air, UV exposure, and tropical storms. Over 500 fabric choices. Factory-direct pricing. Same family commitment to quality.
Most patio furniture stores buy from distributors who buy from manufacturers. That means you’re paying markups at every step. At Beach House, we cut out the middlemen:
Since 1979, our family has been manufacturing outdoor furniture and selling/distributing it across the Southeast! Because of our local factories, we offer factory pricing to our local customers and service our products unlike anyone else! Come in and ask about our 30 day trial period, our over 500 fabric options, or a video of our local factories where most of our products are made! We look forward to bringing this, and much more, to our Jupiter market!
